July Medical Camp- August 21, 2024

Updated: Aug 22, 2024

Hello Everyone,

On July 11, 2024, GRR & R Trust with the collaboration of Village Wellness conducted their first medical camp at the clinic since the pandemic.

The event was held from 9 AM to 3 PM. The camp aimed to provide free medicines and medical help to assist residents from Vedullapalli to Murukondapadu ( 5 KM from Vedullapalli) , Kankatapalem ( 5 KM ) , Vijaya Lakshmi Puram ( 6 KM ), Islam Pet ( 6 KM ).

Gynecologist Dr. Meena (MBBS, FDGO, M.MED), general physician Dr. Challa Ramamohana Rao (MBBS, M.D), and optometrist Dr. Mary saw about 100 patients who attended the camp.

Each patient came to Dr. Anjaneya Charyulu to check blood pressure, temperature and pulse while those who had a history of high sugar checked their blood glucose levels. The information was noted down to keep track of patient history.

Divya assisted Dr. Anjaneya Charyulu with checking these values, and also interviewed 10 patients about their reasons for attending the camp. The majority of patients said their primary ailment was knee/back pain, while still others had a family history of diabetes and wanted to check their sugar levels.

Translated brochures made by Isha and Divya were passed out to all patients. They detailed the causes, symptoms, and prevention of diabetes, hypertension, knee pain, back pain, cataracts as well as smoking control and general health/wellness.

The camp could not have been organized without the effort of Mr. Gurjala Srinivasa Rao, Mr. Anjaneya Charyulu, Mr. Goparaju Subba Rao, Dr. Meena, Dr. Mary, and Dr. Ramamohana Rao. We thank them for their tireless work and look forward to many more medical camps in the future!
