About GRR&R Trust
In 1991, Sri Goparaju Sitaram Anjaneyulu, who was working in the State Bank of India, decided to construct a free clinic at Vedullapalle, a village of approximately 50,000 people in Andhra Pradesh, to cater to its needs and the needs of the 20 villages near it with the support of his loved ones and the villagers. The clinic was named Goparaju Ramachandra Rao and Rukminamma Trust in the name of his parents, or GRR & R Trust, and initially functioned as a free medical service to poor and needy patients. For more than a decade, over 40 patients were treated a day with the help of Dr. Anjaneyulu Charyulu, who continues to provide medical services 31 years later. Soon after, the villagers brought to the notice of Sri Anjaneyulu that, due to the lack of facilities for the treatment of cataracts and other eye diseases, many patients were going blind. Subsequently, in 2006, a free eye care hospital was inaugurated— equipment was donated by the State Bank of India and Andhra Bank and it was funded by the trust and other donors. With the help of Dr. V. Amruthapani, M.S, a well-reputed ophthalmic surgeon, about 2,000 free cataract surgeries have been conducted since the hospital’s inception. Since the pandemic hit, however, cataract surgeries have halted. The passing of Sri Goparaju Sitaram Anjaneyulu, the clinic’s guiding light, led the trust to face increasingly difficult times due to a lack of funding and staff. Despite this, Dr. Anjaneyulu Charyulu has dedicated himself to the trust, providing his service Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Dr. Amruthpani is offering his services by sending Mrs. SK Mary, an optometrist, who comes to the hospital to offer eye exams and prescription lenses. We believe now is the time for the next generation to continue GRR & R Trust’s mission. Thus, Village Wellness aims to make preventative and free healthcare accessible to the inhabitants of Vedullapalle and its surrounding villages — and help provide the resources needed to return it to its former state.
Your support is our strength.

About Zilla Parishad High School
In the heart of rural Andra Pradesh, children face barriers that limit their potential. We are on a mission to change that.
At Zilla Parishad Government High School, a government school serving grades 6–10, we have launched Village Wellness Club, a student empowerment initiative designed to nurture the potential of every student. It provides a safe, supportive space with five wings:
-
Culture Wing: Explore music, dance, local traditions, arts, and crafts
-
Tech Literacy Wing: Hands-on computer learning and digital skills
-
Environmental Wing: Sustainability awareness and local impact projects
-
Leadership Wing: Confidence building, public speaking, and life skills
-
Yoga and Mindfulness Wing: supports mental and physical health
Our goal is to inspire underprivileged kids to become responsible citizens who can break the cycle of poverty, dream big, and give back.
This matters because when children feel seen, heard, and supported, they stay engaged in school, avoid trouble, and stay on a path to a brighter future.
This program doesn’t just benefit students—
it uplifts entire communities.
-
$25 provides students access to club materials
-
$50 supports a tech workshop or guest speakers
But any amount is appreciated!
Our deepest thanks to Mrs. Amirisetty Rama Devi, the school principal, for bringing Zilla Parishad High School and Village Wellness' joint vision to life.
